Book Launch @ The Indian High Commission The Nehru Centre

On a Summer evening at The Nehru Centre- Mayfair London on Wednesday 12^th July 2023 Suresh Kumar Author of Follow that Dream and Lord Jeffrey Archer conducted the third book launch for the fast-selling book.

The book unveils the true story of a British Indian family navigating the challenges of life while steadfastly continuing to chase their aspirations. The narrative begins during the tumultuous period of India’s partition in 1947 when the first generation of the family makes the courageous decision to leave their hometown in Kitna, Punjab, in search of better opportunities. The book, “Follow That Dream” portrays the obstacles faced by those who start from scratch in a new environment, striving to provide for their loved ones.

This compelling story follows a young British Indian with a burning ambition to make his mark in business, politics, and the local community. Through the ups and downs, the narrative resonates with readers across generations, inspiring them to persevere and “Follow That Dream.” The creation of this book has been a labour of love spanning over a decade, from handwritten musings on scattered pieces of paper to the polished version now. With a deep sense of gratitude, the book shares stories that highlight the ups and downs of life, ultimately echoing the sentiment that one has lived life to the fullest by doing it their way. The motto that reverberates throughout is “Opportunity is never far from those who seek it.”

The book signing segment of the evening was an enthralling success with long que of guests eagerly and patiently waiting for a signed copy of Follow that Dream by Suresh Kumar.

Suresh Kumar said “ Lord Archer is very entertaining, and the audience was glued to his every word, when he explained his book writing procedure. There is no more suitable to do this book launch than world famous and renowned multimillion book selling author, Jeffrey Archer.”

The guests resonated with their own journey from The Indian Sub-Continent to London, in the early days when they travelled here for better opportunity and prospects, with their families.

Suresh Kumar said” The United Kingdom has been welcoming to the many immigrants who travelled here over the years and have been provided better prospects. We should always remember that we owe this Country we call home a debt of gratitude and we should always be loyal and steadfast in its support always. There is no better place than the United Kingdom”.
